Stories can help children learn new words, improve their grammar, and develop their reading skills. Not only do stories introduce new vocabulary, but they give children opportunities to use them in various contexts.
Students of Class 5 were asked to draw and name one character of their choice. Then the whole class was divided into groups and each group was asked to write and present a story with the characters given to them.
This activity helped children learn how to express their emotions in a healthy way. By hearing and writing stories about characters who feel scared, sad, or happy, students discovered how to identify and cope with their own feelings.
