Summer School is a fun-filled, project based course that happens once a year at the British Council Teaching Centresin Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi. Children  improve their English  by engaging in script writing, story telling, plot and character development and much more, putting together a spectacular show for their parents at the end of the course.
Themes for Summer School 2017:
English through Literature: Shakespeare
English through Literature: Roald Dahl
Duration:
30 hours
Mon-Fri (3 hour classes per day)
Every child on the course will get an opportunity to participate in the Global Young Learners’ Art Competition organised worldwide.

MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION (6.5.17)

Dav Pushpanjali Primus celebrated Mother's Day on 6th May, 2017 in the school Auditorium. A fun filled day with participation from mothers of students of class pre-school to class VIII PRIMUS. A competition was organised for mothers with three rounds. R 1- A set of 50 questions of logical reasoning, language ability, and punch lines was given. Many passed the 1st round to qualify for the second round where they had to 'Walk The Ramp'. The poise, grace and confidence was much appreciated by the judges Mrs Alka Dhamija SH , Mrs Punam Mehta SH, Mrs seema Behl, SH, Mrs punam Dhingra SH. Principal Mrs Rashmi Raj Biswal congratulated the Mothers for being the most loved relation in everyone's life and appreciated the effort of the entire team of Primus headed by Mrs Jyotsna Kumar, SH -PRIMUS. R 3 was Question Answer round put up by the judges.Each question was most confidently answered by the finalists. And we had the much deserving Mrs Primus, Mrs Primus 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner up. Various other titles were also given. Certainly an event where glamour, grace and intellect was at it's best. The school thanks the mothers for their spirited participation and wishes them the best for their future.













Parents Interaction Program (29.4.17)

An interactive session for parents of class 4 (PRIMUS) was held in the class. In this session, syllabus, examination pattern and marking scheme were discussed.

Different subject teachers also demonstrated their respective teaching techniques and activities that are done with the students. Parents were encouraged to participate in these activities and they were more than happy to do so.

Visit to National Museum (April 28, 2017)


Students of classes 3, 4 and 5 (PRIMUS) visited National Museum on Friday, April 28, 2017.

 It is situated in a three storied building. The first floor is connected with the affairs of India. Second floor relates to the international field and third floor is devoted to the achievements of Indian states, in different fields. 



On the First Floor, the excavated things of Mohen-jo-daro and Harappa were also kept there. To depict the culture of Harappa and Mohen-jo-daro there were tools, earthen pots, ornaments and other important items. There were also the remains of old and new Stone Age.
On the Second Floor there were paintings of the past. There were paintings of Rama, Laxman and Sita, Krishna with his Gopikas, Yashodhara etc There were paint­ings belonging to Mughal period and manu­scripts of Mahabharat, the Bhagwat Puran, the Quran etc. There were items from Britain, U.S.A., U.S.S.R., Germany etc.
On the next floor achievements of states like Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Punjab, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh were displayed. 
The visit was a great source of information and knowledge for the children. It gave them an opportunity to learn about our glorious past, customs and traditions, contributions of our ancestors in the field of science, technology, art and literature and too feel pride in INDIA- OUR MOTHERLAND.
