29.4.24 Field Visit to ISKCON Temple , Rohini

On 29th of April, 2024, students of DAVPS, Cambridge, visited ISKCON Temple, Sec.25, Rohini at 8: 45 AM.

It was a field visit arranged for the students to know more about Indian Culture and Architecture.

Students were told that every ritual has a symbolic and scientific objective behind it.

And each ritual, like ringing the bell, lighting the camphor, offering flowers, applying tilak and performing Pradakshina in the temple, is meant to activate our senses. Once these senses are activated, the human body can absorb the positive energy generated in the temples to the optimal level.

On entering the temple, students were greeted with soothing chant of ‘Hare Krishna’A sign indicated that this chant keeps all the evil away. Students were awe struck with the architecture marvel: lattice windows and carved ceilings depicting scenes from life of Lord Krishna. In the end, students enjoyed bhajans and took Panchamrit.

To conclude, students learnt that , a temple is a place of blessings, where everyone comes with a positive thought creating a wave of positivity in the temple space. This helps calm our minds and absorb more positive vibrations and energy.
