Students of class 5 from various schools of Delhi participated in story writing competition- TWISTER TALES. The competition was divided into three stages/ parts.
In the first part, all the contestants were taken to the school junior library where in the stipulated time limit of 10 minutes, they had to list as many words as they wanted from the titles of books kept in an almirah specially assigned for the purpose.
In the second part, the contestants had to use the listed words to write a story of any genre of their choice, be it comedy, horror, fiction, mystery, adventure etc. Extra marks were given for use of idioms, tongue twisters, quotes of famous authors etc. Later they were also required to draw one important scene from their story.
In the last and final part, contestants had to narrate the story penned down by them.
After preliminary and qualifying round of story writing in class V-A , Tavish Dangri and Sidhyati Malhotra were selected from DAV Pushpanjali to participate in this event. They bagged 3rd position.
