• World Food Day (WFD) was observed across the world on 16 October 2015 with the theme Social Protection and Agriculture.

• National Unity Day observed on 31-OCT-2015 across India.On this occasion of 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,

• Two mountaineers Arjun Vajpai and Bhupesh Kumar in third week of October 2015 created history by becoming first people to climb 6180 meter high peak in Himachal’s Spiti Valley. The duo named the peak as Mout Kalam, in honour of former President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam.
