9.5.23 English and Science Learning Zone

 Today English and Science Learning Zone was organised in the corridor of Cambridge Wing on the 3rd Floor. In this zone students interacted with each other and were apprised of various concepts being taught in English and Science.

Students of Class 3, 4 and 5 explained the topics like Story Mountain, Elements of Newspaper Report, Comparison of different genres of Texts and how to read and appreciate novels.

This activity gave the students an opportunity to be more confident, recap the concepts and improve communication skills.

Self Introduction- Personal Grooming Club Activity

 "First impressions are everything," as the old saying goes. It's critical that students make a strong case for their introduction. Students should introduce themselves to the audience, including their names, preferences, characteristics, family, and prior experiences.

Students can improve their self-confidence, motivation, and interpersonal skills by introducing themselves. One can express their emotions when they introduce themselves to other students, teachers, and parents. This improves their social abilities by enabling them to interact with new individuals. 

With a powerful introduction, students may make a bold statement, attract attention, and pique curiosity. When used correctly, an introduction may mark the beginning of a new life, career, or group of friends. In essence, an introduction is an individual's first impression, and people will recognize that impression for the rest of their lives.

3.5.23 Curriculum Activity- Class 5- Components of News Report

 Students pasted news article and marked components of news report in it : Headline, By Line, Lead Paragraph, Body, Eyewitness Account and Conclusion. 

3.5.23 Curriculum Activity Class 3- Novel Reading

 Activity 1- Students imagined themselves to be the main character and drew scene of the place which they wanted to open up their circus. 

Activity 2- Students wrote a different beginning of the story ( based on their reading of first five pages)

Personal Grooming Club Activity- Folding Clothes.

 Folding clothes is a wonderful practical life activity that helps children in building independence, confidence, and fine motor skills.

It also develops children’s muscular control and provides a lesson in exactness and rigor, laying the foundation for later geometry work.

Benefits of Folding Clothes Activity

1. It helps children to fold their clothes and lend hands in daily household chores.

2. It promotes independence by the folding of clothes and other such items.

3. It develops the muscular control of the fingers and training inexactness.

4. It prepares the child for geometry by subconscious absorption of the folding lines.
