Happy Mother's Day- 2019

 Mothers are the source of life and without them it is almost impossible to dream about life on planet earth. They are the one who give us birth and bring us in this world. They are the one who nurture us and make us walk on our own feet. They not only protect us from evils but also show us the righteous path of life. They act as a guide, a teacher and a best friend who always stand strong besides us under all the difficulties.

Super Mom

Mom, you're a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I belong.

You're patient when I'm foolish;
You give guidance when I ask;
It seems you can do most anything;
You're the master of every task.

You're a dependable source of comfort;
You're my cushion when I fall.
You help in times of trouble;
You support me whenever I call.

I love you more than you know;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!

Earth Day (2019)

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day now includes events in more than 193 countries,[1] which are coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network.

For the year 2019, the Earth Day theme is 'Protect our Species'.

Earth Day Network is asking people to join our Protect our Species campaign. Our goals are to:
  • Educate and raise awareness about the accelerating rate of extinction of millions of species and the causes and consequences of this phenomenon.
  • Achieve major policy victories that protect broad groups of species as well as individual species and their habitats.

Activity- Words With Foreign Origin (Class 5)

There are many words in English language which are used in day to day life but most of us are not aware that they have their origin in foreign languages. For example restaurant is a French word, rickshaw and ketchup are Chinese words and villa has come from Latin.
Students of class 5 participated in an activity in which they searched such words and listed them.
