INTER HOUSE ENGLISH QUIZ COMPETITION (Class 4)

The students of class 4 (PRIMUS) participated in Inter House English Quiz Competition. There were six rounds in the Quiz namely Visual, Dumb Charades, Tenses Don't Make Us Tense, Fastest Finger First, Buzzer Round and Rapid Fire.

All the children participated enthusiastically and had fun answering various questions that were put up to them.
The result is as follows :- 

1st - Bhabha House
2nd- Newton House
3rd- Aristotle House

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL

“Dear students, the summer has ended.
The school year at last has begun.
But this year is totally different.

World Environment Day 2017

‘Connecting People to Nature’, the theme for World Environment Day 2017, implores us to get outdoors and into nature, to appreciate its beauty and its importance, and to take forward the call to protect the Earth that we share.

Every June 5th is a day used by the United Nations to stimulate worldwide awareness of environmental issues.

World Environment Day began in 1972 as a day for people from all walks of life to come together to ensure a cleaner, greener and brighter outlook for themselves and future generations.

It is a similar celebration to Earth Day which is held every April 22nd.

Summer Holiday Fun (Short Story)

Today was the 4th best day of the year. Summer holidays! I woke up at about 10:00am. Breakfast was ready. My favourite, pancakes with butter, topped with maple syrup.Then my brother Ethan, came rushing down with four tickets in his hand. "We WON"!! He sreamed. Was he mad? Four tickets to a trip to who knows where? He explained that he entered a contest to go to a trip to Hawaii worth exactly $100,000. We rushed to tell mum and dad, who were quite upset to be woken up on the only day they can sleep in. We went to the airport and on the plane... Those things I do not want to tell you about. Ok back to our trip. The hotel was a five star resort right near the beacch so we could see that gorgeous view. We went to the beach we relaxed on the soft white sand while Ethan was surfing on the turquoise water. Five minutes later we went to pick him up but Ethan was nowhere to be seen. Did he drown? Or got eaten by a shark? Or got stung by a blue bottle and was so shocked he fell off? You can imagine how my parents felt. They ran and screamed and cried and that stuff. Then I dived in. I caan swim 50km by now. I swam and swam. I was nearly out of breath. The water was deeper now. I saw Ethan. I dragged him to shore. As you can imagine he was pretty heavy. 40kg at least. Well everyone was happy now and that was all that mattered.

Summer School is a fun-filled, project based course that happens once a year at the British Council Teaching Centresin Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi. Children  improve their English  by engaging in script writing, story telling, plot and character development and much more, putting together a spectacular show for their parents at the end of the course.

Duration:

30 hours

Mon-Fri (3 hour classes per day)

Every child on the course will get an opportunity to participate in the Global Young Learners’ Art Competition organised worldwide.

MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION (6.5.17)

Dav Pushpanjali Primus celebrated Mother's Day on 6th May, 2017 in the school Auditorium. A fun filled day with participation from mothers of students of class pre-school to class VIII PRIMUS. A competition was organised for mothers with three rounds. R 1- A set of 50 questions of logical reasoning, language ability, and punch lines was given. Many passed the 1st round to qualify for the second round where they had to 'Walk The Ramp'. The poise, grace and confidence was much appreciated by the judges Mrs Alka Dhamija SH , Mrs Punam Mehta SH, Mrs seema Behl, SH, Mrs punam Dhingra SH. Principal Mrs Rashmi Raj Biswal congratulated the Mothers for being the most loved relation in everyone's life and appreciated the effort of the entire team of Primus headed by Mrs Jyotsna Kumar, SH -PRIMUS. R 3 was Question Answer round put up by the judges.Each question was most confidently answered by the finalists. And we had the much deserving Mrs Primus, Mrs Primus 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner up. Various other titles were also given. Certainly an event where glamour, grace and intellect was at it's best. The school thanks the mothers for their spirited participation and wishes them the best for their future.

Parents Interaction Program (29.4.17)

An interactive session for parents of class 4 (PRIMUS) was held in the class. In this session, syllabus, examination pattern and marking scheme were discussed.

Different subject teachers also demonstrated their respective teaching techniques and activities that are done with the students. Parents were encouraged to participate in these activities and they were more than happy to do so.
