In this activity, students of class 4 were divided into groups of 4. Each group was given a set of 10 archaic words (words taken from Shakespeare plays) and their corresponding meanings in modern English. Then each group had to use those words in writing a paragraph of their choice. Students had fun matching archaic words with their meanings. Some examples are:
Kicky wicky- wife
Bluster- Storm
Buzzer- Person who spreads gossip
Caper- To dance with joy
Raze- To destroy completely.
This activity helped the students in improving their vocabulary, creative writing and they got to know about the Great Playwright- Shakespeare. Ms. Meenakshi judged the students on the following criteria: Content, Accuracy and Team Work.
