Rakshabandhan and Friendship Day Celebration- 2020

India is a land of festivals and fairs. Virtually celebrating each day of the year, there are more festivals celebrated in India than anywhere else in the world.
We, at DAV Pushpanjali ( Cambridge International) too believe in celebrating every day and every occasion is a joyous occasion for us. So what if we are at homes and not in school! That didn’t stop us, the teachers and children of class 4 (Cambridge) from celebrating Rakshabandhan and Friendship Day with full fervour and gaiety even though it was virtually.
The students and teachers met informally on Teams. All were dressed in their best traditional attire. Students recited poems, shared their views on Rakshabandhan and Friendship. There were spirited dance performances from Vedaant and Ahana. All the students showed beautiful home made Rakhis made by them . Some had made cards and friendship bands for their friends.
Later students moved to their break out rooms, where they chatted with their friends, shared jokes and enjoyed sweets and snacks. Some even played online Ludo.
The celebrations ended with a promise to meet again and a hope that next celebrations will be in school.
