Class 4 Activity- Descriptive Paragraph- Create a new hairstyle and describe it.

 The main purpose of descriptive writing is to describe a person, place or thing in such a way that a picture is formed in the reader's mind. 

Students of class 4 participated in 'Design a Hairstyle' activity. In this activity, the students designed a new hairstyle and then described it in a paragraph using descriptive adjectives. They included details like: who is this hairstyle for, how it was created and how it will help the person in his/ her career.

This activity taught children that capturing an event through descriptive writing involves paying close attention to the details by using all of your five senses. 

Students thoroughly enjoyed this activity.

Class 5 Activity- Summary Writing

 A useful summary distills the source material down to its most important point to inform the reader.  A summary writing activity was conducted in class 5 where students cut out a news article from the newspaper and wrote its summary in not more than 20 words. 

The students were taught that for writing a good summary, the following rule should be followed:

S- Short summation of the original piece.

U- Use your own language and do not give your opinions

M- Main point/ idea only, avoid unnecessary details.

25.7.22 Class 3 Global Perspective Display

 Students of Class 3 Cambridge displayed their Global Perspective on 25 August, 2022 in third floor corridor. The students visited each others' classes and learnt how to think globally and respect each others' perspective.
